#MembacaBersama: Eating Clean, 20 Langkah Mudah Membiasakan Makan Sehat


Assalamualaikum. Hai, Hai.. I’m back. Finally. Wqwq. Sungguh tidak istiqomah.
Nggak kerasa uda bulan April dan belom ada satu pos pun di blog ini XD. Tapi meskipun kelihatannya Gita sangat tidak produktif disini, Alhamdulillah  aslinya cukup produktif kok *ngeles wqwq. I’ll clearly share what I’ve done during the first quarter of 2019 soon ya. Because this post will be dedicated to my lastest project w/ one of my bestie, Erna J (ceilee)
We called it #MembacaBersama.
#MembacaBersama is a joint project between I and Erna, aimed to motivate each other to read more books this year. LOL. This idea firstly came when both of us discussing on how productive an inspiring individual, especially on how she manage her time to read a book and invest her money on book.  For me personally, it was like a wake up call, a reminder that I haven’t read any book this year (anw this online conversation happened last month) and even last year. I was actually feel ashamed as I always called ma self as “ a bookworm” whenever I got the question “Do you like reading?” in any speaking session when I joined Ielts Preparation Class before. LOL. That’s why we promised to read at least one book, one month and share what we’ve got after we finish the book. So, here I am. Triggering ma self to write something after 2 weeks finishing my very first book before all the insight blow away. Wqwq
Eating Clean, 20 Langkah Mudah Membiasakan Makan Sehat was on the top of my reading list and I finally could marked it. Yeaay!! Btw, this is also my first time buying e-book through google play since I’m fully aware that I’m a kind of lazy person who will not vigorously bring a book everywhere I go. It worked well anw. I finished it only in a week! Such an achievement for me.
Btw again, this e-book wasn’t an impromptu buying. I bought this after contemplating and realizing that I need to alter my eating habit to achieve a healthier body condition. Then, I subconsciously found a series of Inge Tumewa book’s at Gramedia in health section shelve and again, subsequently listen to her podcast on Inspigo, and eventually found this on my google book application. Then I bought it. So here, I will write a bit about what Bu Inge try to explain on her first book.
Well, I think this is quite essential for me to mention that Bu Inge is actually not coming from any health or nutrition background. She was a musician before. But around six or seven years ago she and all the member of her nuclear family suffered from a vary health problem, ranging from tumor to obesity. She learnt by her self how to deal with it and finally decided to shift their life style. And that’s actually what amazed me the most. She successfully managed and guided her family to live a healthier life by changing their everyday menu and strict with it. It obviously shows that our food will determine our body quality.
Wqwq ya Allah banyak kali ya intronya. Uda cukup ya, yukla kita bahas sikit apa aja 20 langkah yang bu Inge tulis di bukunya ini. Eits tapi kukilas sikit aja ya, tar jatohnya spoiler lagi kalo semua kuurai. So, Cekidot!
1.      Hindari Makanan Fast Food
It is clear that fast food has many demerits for our health. Since it produces using “deep frying” method so it will surely contain high amount of fat. Besides, it usually wrap with flour which means that it also has a high precentation of sugar, carbohydrate and gluten. The seasoning it self is definitely using abundant amount of salt. So it’s totally clear right?
2.      Ganti Nasi Putih dengan Nasi Merah
Well, the main point here is that we need to consume complex carbohydrate instead of the simple one. Why? It’s because simple carbohydrate like “Nasi Putih” is easy to digest as it has simple structure which rapidly raises our blood sugar level. This phenomenon, when happen continuously will lead to some chronic diseases such as cardiovascular problem and Diabetes type II. 
3.      Avoid Dairy Based Product
It is undisputable fact that dairy based product mostly rich in nutrion. No one will beat it. But not so many people aware that actually, we don’t have certain enzymes to process dairy based product in our body. That’s why, many people prone to suffer from allergic when they consume dairy based product. Whreas, we could still get enough nutrition from other “realfood” such as fruit and vegetable.
4.      Hindari Gula
Honestly, this is one of the part which for me personally so eyes opening. I’m fully aware that we need to reduce our consumption towards sugar, but I never knew that we have to be careful with sugar which hiden behind fruit. Surely, I think all fruits are good. But then, I recognize that there are some fruits which contain high amount of sugar such as watermelon and mangosteen. Plus, too ripe fruits.
5.      Hindari Makanan Proses/Kemasan
Hahaha. Truthfully, it is written in the first chapter of this book. But you know, it hurts me. A bit. Wqwq alay kali.
As you know (or yah here I’ll tell you if you don’t know), I’ve been working in food industry as Research and Development Staff since 2016 (even though along 2018 I’ve stopped working  for about 8 months due to some personal conditions). For this reason, I have a little bit background on how food industry run their business, how they processed the products and many other things related to product which produced by food industry. Again, I’m fully aware that not all process food are good. Many of them are contain abundant amount of sugar,additive, preservative or any other ingredients which allegedly as “bad” for our body. But, as fas as I concerned, some industries also struggle to produce a real healthy food for their customer as they recognize that these days more and more people are concern on their health and their food consumption. So I think, as a consumer, we just need to be selective if we want to buy processed food as some of them also nutritious. Anw it is also a challenge for me as a food-technologist to produce realfood eventhough it proceed to raise its value and prolong its shelf life. It’s sound a bit hard, but lemme try wqwq #bukanjanjitapibukti.

Well.. Well.. Well. I think this post already outpace what I planned hahaha. But yah, it’s still couldn’t fully summary what I’ve read. For anyone of you who is curious enough with the book, just go to the bookstore or google play and purchase it. It's a-must-read-book if you want to begin a healthy eating program.

"Apaan si, pake rok kok tumpuk-tumpuk banget." "Itu rok mau sekalian ngepel lantai ya lebar banget." "Gausa yang aneh-aneh lah, yang biasa-biasa aja islamnya." "Kamu ikut aliran mana?" Astaghfiruallah.. Kadang, cuma bisa mengelus dada, senyum kecut sambil ngernyit bingung kalau denger ucapan-ucapan semacam itu.
